The Marble Computer, the Wave Tank and the Forces Roller-Coaster

Explore how computers operate in concrete fashion, thanks to marbles that give tangible form to the way they process information. Create and observe waves and their propagation on the surface of the water in a gigantic Wave Tank. Have fun with physical forces and try out their effects on a marble rolling along a giant obstacle-filled track.

The Planetarium

Beneath a 15-metre dome, let yourself be swept away on an immersive journey to the heart of the Universe! Thanks to high-performance 8K projections and simulation software that recreates the sky with scientific accuracy, you explore the solar system, discover the stars and travel to the edge of our galaxy.

So you’ve always dreamt of observing the sky, day and night alike, from nearest to farthest, with maximum precision? You’ll be able to do just that at the Palais, thanks to the unique high-tech Astronomical Observatory located on its roof. The images it captures are broadcast with live commentary in the Astronomy Room and the Planetarium.
